Liu Kang and Kung Lao
Finally, Kung Lao and Liu Kang have been confirmed as playable characters though with a slight twist as you will see in the above trailer. They broadly appear to have their same fighting styles and its nice to see Liu Kang’s bicycle kick return.
Kung Lao is still slinging is hat around as you would expect but he seems much more powerful and brutal this time around which is interesting.
Both players have been the sons of Mortal Kombat since its inception – Liu Kang particularly assuming the role of the central protagonist. We are therefore looking forward to seeing how their defection unfolds.
Kung Jin
Little is known about Kung Jin, though we believe this is Kung Lao’s son [not confirmed].
Erron Black
Stepping out of the comic realm, Erron Black will make his debut in the video game realm in Mortal Kombat X with a wild west gun slinger’s repertoire.
Goro
Goro is confirmed to make it to the roster as a playable character if you pre order the game which you can do from here.
The general speed of the players and the games tempo seems to have been ramped up in Mortal Kombat X and the players feel a lot more beefed up.
Mortal Kombat X releases on 14 April 2015. Pre-order here.
