Star Citizens first person shooter module was revealed at PAX Australia showcasing its FPS mode, environments, weapons and zero gravity mode.
Its evident that there is still a great deal of work to do. The animations look quite stiff and it needs a little more polish before its release next year. But the atmosphere feels impressive and Illfonic, the developer behind the FPS module, has so far done a pretty good job. The games founder Chris Roberts has acknowledged that there is work still to do and that we can expect realistic physics and destructible environments to be added.
The space exploration sim is the biggest ever crowd funded project on Kick-Starter and has already exceeded $55 million USD in funding and is closing in on $60 million USD.
