Doom Single Player Gameplay Reveal and Reaction at E3

Wow.

That’s the only way to summarise my thoughts on the first glimpse of Doom’s Singleplayer gameplay footage at E3.

Bethesda have been faithful to its fans and has seemingly brought back the classic tense atmosphere of Doom 3 whilst maintaining, what looks to be, rock solid shooter mechanics.

Doom offers a variety of ways to dispense with your enemy – it has a number of different weapons (we even saw a chainsaw and rip through an enemy alien Gears of Wars style) and a number of  environmental destructible’s. 

Dying looks fun too with Doom having some Dead Space style player death animations which is gruesome but also quite funny to watch.

The game looks solid and Bethesda should really be praised and applauded for maintaining the atmosphere that made Doom 3 such a success.

This game feels like Dead Space but with Halo shooting mechanics.

What more could you want?

Doom will be released in Spring 2016.
